LiDAR and magnetometers are two types of sensors that can be used to perform geophysical surveys. High resolution DEMs from LiDAR data can help detect faults and other geologic features. Repeated LiDAR surveys can document ground movement resulting from earthquakes, landslides, and volcanic activity.
We have worked with GEM Systems in Canada to integrate magnetometers onto the Tempest. These are being used in mineral exploration to map variations in the Earth's magnetic field. The customization required to mount magnetometers onto the Tempest is an indication of our ability to meet client requirements.
